The Horace Mann League is an association of educational leaders, primarily school superintendents, committed to the improvement of public education in the United States.

The governance of the HML is made up of four officers:

President
President-elect
Vice President
Past President

There are twelve directors, nominated to represent the diversity of the membership.  The officers and directors are elected at the annual meeting of the League.  The Executive Director is appointed by the officers and board to carry out the purpose of the League.

The HML Board meets twice a year, usually in the summer and at the annual AASA National Conference.
