The Horace Mann League annual presents four awards that recognize individuals and associations that contribute to the improvement of public education and the Horace Mann League.

HML’s Ambassadors – members who recruit five or more new members

HML’s Outstanding Friend of Public Education – generally an individual or organization that promotes public education

HML’s Outstanding Public Educator – generally a person in K-12 or higher education who promotes public education.

HML’s Friend of the League – generally an individual who promotes the Horace Mann League.
