Log On

1. Enter http://vcampus.heritage.edu in your browser address bar or click on the VCampus icon on the Heritage University web page  (www.heritage.edu).

 

2. Enter your login and password to enter the site.  After entering,  click on "Faculty" (just under the picture of the mountain) to access your assigned courses.

 

3. From that point you can enter your handouts, prepare your assignments for grades and develop a forum with your students.  Tutorials are available through the online Faculty Resource Manual (http://www.hmleague.org/Heritage/adjunctmenu.htm).

 

Updating "My Info"  http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

 

To add your personal information or photo follow these steps:

1. Click on "My Info" in the upper left corner of your screen

2. Click "edit" to change or "add" (e.g., telephone number) to your general information

3. To add your photo, click "edit" by picture then browse your files to upload your jpeg photo.

4. After making changes, additions, or deletions,  click "Save" to make your changes permanent.

 

Accessing Your Courses  http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

 

1. Click on "Faculty" link in the upper right corner of the screen under the mountain.

2. From the drop down menu, Click "all my courses."

3. Access the information (i.e. your info, schedule, course description) you desire. Click past, current, or future courses as needed.

 

Accessing "Real Time" Class Rosters  http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

 

1. From the drop down menu in your course, click on "Course mates."  Click on "Course mates."

2. The number of registered students in your class will be listed

3. You may email one or all of your registered students by clicking "Email All"

 

 

How to Post your Syllabus to your "Handouts   http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

 

1.        Right-click on your syllabus (as saved in your bank.) Choose "Copy Shortcut" from the drop-down menu.

2.        Click on "Syllabus" on the Navigation bar on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click "Edit" in the upper right-hand side.

3.        Click on the button with the globe and the chain-link (when you move the mouse over it, a little box will show up that says "Insert Hyperlink."  It's the third button from the right.)

4.        A box will pop up prompting you to type the text you want to show for the link. You should type something such as, "Click here for your syllabus for ED511.0," and then click OK.

5.        The next box is the URL link box. The box you type in will automatically be highlighted. Press "Ctrl V" to paste the copied shortcut. Click OK. (The box will disappear and your code will be posted in the HTML box on your page.)

6.        Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click "Save."

7.        Your syllabus is now posted as a link.

 

Accessing the College Communication Group  http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

 

1.     Click the "Groups" icon (three heads) in the upper left corner of the screen. 

2.     Click on WINGS under Group Manager.

3.     Academic Communication Groups (Acad-Comm Grps).

4.     Click on College of Education and Psychology.

5.     You now have access to information and resources.

6.     You will now see all University "groups" currently in existence.

7.     Groups have many of the same features as courses (e.g., Announcements, file sharing, etc.). Click on File Exchange to view files.

 

Using Heritage Email  http://vcampus.heritage.edu/

Follow these steps to access your e-mail account:

 

1.     Enter http://webmail.heritage.edu in your browser window.

2.     A dialog box will pop up. In the top of the box enter: hctopp\lastname_first inital (i.e. VCampus user name).

3.     In the bottom box enter your E-mail password (different from VCampus password).

4.     Your Outlook email and Calendar will now open for your use.
