Policy/Procedure Number: 5.5.1

Title: Professional Dress

Effective: Revised May, 1995; revised November, 1999

Authorized by: President's Cabinet

Rationale:

Because Heritage University is an institution of higher learning which prepares students for professional positions, it is important that employees project an image of professionalism by dressing accordingly while on the job.

Policy:

Employees of Heritage University are expected to maintain commonly accepted standards of attire consistent with their positions within the Institution. It is the responsibility of the supervisors to discuss with their employees, on a case-by-case basis, variations in attire that fail to meet acceptable standards.
